The percentage of adults achieving the recommended level of physical activity varies geographically across Scotland. Chart 1 shows this variation by NHS board based on the 2003 Scottish Health Survey. The highest percentage was in Fife (44.8%) and the lowest in the Islands (Orkney, Shetland and Western Isles) (27.6%). |
