Epilepsy Scotland is a Scottish-based charity that campaigns for improvements in services for people with epilepsy in Scotland. It provides a range of information resources for professionals and people with epilepsy including a seizure factsheet PDF Button (798Kb) for patients that explains different types of epileptic seizures and information for professionals to download and give to patients.

Epilepsy Connections is a Scottish charity that provides support to people with epilepsy in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Forth Valley Health Board areas.

The Joint Epilepsy Council is an umbrella body for voluntary sector organisations working in the epilepsy field in the UK. The JEC produces the Joint Epilepsy Council factsheet on the epidemiology of epilepsy in the UK. This summary is based on prevalence figures from the General Practice Research Database (GPRD) in 2002 and includes only people with epilepsy who were receiving prescriptions for anti-epilepsy drugs.
