Breast cancer: data introduction

The following breast cancer data pages provide access to detailed statistics on breast cancer in Scotland. Most of this data is available through hyperlinks to the breast cancer statistics section on the ISD Scotland website. This includes data on breast cancer incidence, mortality, survival, prevalence and lifetime risk, which are all available from the ISD Scotland website as downloadable Excel files. The Cancer in Scotland summary reportPDF Button(264Kb), produced by the ISD Cancer Surveillance Team, provides a statistical overview of cancer in Scotland, comparing breast cancer alongside other common cancers.

Table 1 summarises the dimensions / geographies breast cancer data are presented at, either within the data pages which follow or through hyperlinks to other websites.
