Oral health: children - NHS Boards data
The National Dental Inspection Programme of Scotland (NDIP) publishes regular reports on children's dental health, including data within Scotland by NHS Board area. For the most recent results, please see:
- Report of the 2006 survey of P1 Children (for 5-year-olds)
(432Kb)
- Report of the 2005 survey of P7 Children (for 11-year-olds)
(1.8MB).
Both the percentage of children with no obvious decay, and the average number of decayed, missing and filled teeth per child, range widely between NHS Boards, reflecting to some extent patterns of socio-economic deprivation.
