Health inequalities: international comparisons

The Figure below (taken from a study published in 2012) shows that relative inequalities in mortality are not just greater in Scotland compared to England & Wales, but also compared with elsewhere in Western Europe and parts of Eastern Europe as well. Note that the inequality measure presented in these charts is defined differently than those presented in other charts in this section.
